Kita-kamakura
Today my family went to Kita-kamakura to tour a private junior-high school for my son. The school was among the beautiful scenary of Kita-kamakura the school. It is run by an old temple adjusent to the school. The students were polite and had good mood of 30 years ago. We all like the school and the town at once.
Intellectual stretching excercises
I bought a book titled "Introduction to intellectual stretching excercises" at a book store in way to my home, because I was very interested in that title. The book begins with saying, "you may have experiences of a day when your fingers finally reached to floor as a consequence of daily streching excercises". It says that intellectual ability is the same. If everyday you use your brain stretching beyond what you are familiar with, one day your intellectual ability will break through as it is and reach to unknown level. Unless you climb to the top of a mountain, you will never get that view from the top of the mountain. I was encouraged.
I love "Hanshin" Tigers
Hanshin Railway Co., Ltd., was officially acquired by Hankyu Railway Co., Ltd, today. From my childhood Hanshin Tigers and Hankyu Braves were rivals for each other. Their parent companies had been rival companies. So even though the world has changed, it was very much suprising news. Hanshin Tigers are intensively chasing Chunichi Dragons with 3 games differences. I pray that extinction of their parent company does not put out their fire.
Old restaurant
I entertained our clients tonight at an old restaurant in Yokohama. It was an old restaurant on the "Tokaido 53-tsugi", and very famous for Ryoma Sakamoto's wife who had worked there. Food served there was so-so. But we were entertained, feeling that we went back to Bakumatsu era for a while.
karaoke songs
I watched a TV program which treated nostalgic karaoke songs. Karaoke was originated in Japan and is now popular in the world. Every old songs which one has sung even once include memories. I thought I would like to go to Karaoke box.
Power of observation
I played golf yesterday with my clients and colleagues. Unfortunately I didn't play well because of bad weather but I could manage my game well. I think that whether you are a good player or not depends mainly on your power of observation. On the tee ground, you make better plan to pull down the hole with carefully observing the hole layout, checking a lot of hazards. You may change your club selection observing shots of your partners, because you noticed wind brows harder than you thought. I think a good golf player can be a good business person. but not vais versa.
Walking
I walk with my wife for about 2 hours every saturday. We have started for our health. But I noticed that we can fullily communicate while walking, because no one interrupt us for 2 hours. I recommend walking with your kids or wife, if you need communication with them.
